Nevermore / Dragon
It's finally finished! I knit "The Nevermore Cowl" for a trade. I didn't realize how much more time it takes knitting with sock yarn so I went way over my deadline! But at last, it's done. :) I put so much time and work into this and I made quite a few tiny mistakes with the pattern, I was so worried the words wouldn't be legible. But it is! It's wonderful! I'm so happy! I hope she likes it!
(back)
This is what I traded for! Alicia makes these awesome dragons! They sit perched on your hand and you can control the movement of there heads by the wheel at the bottom!
I call this beautiful creature "Gypsy." I love her purple fur with the amber eyes and she has such pretty horns!
Hopefully Alicia will have some up for sale soon! I've seen the other ones she has made so far and they are awesome!
What do you think? Isn't it cool?!

My first crocheted hat!
This is my first crocheted hat! I wanted something "holey" but didn't have a pattern so I just winged it.
I used Lion Brand Homespun yarn and a size K hook. I ♥ LBH yarn. Have I mentioned this before? I think I have. :)
Very "holey" also nice and slouchy!
Most of the hat is in double crochet except for the rim which is just a few rows of single crochet.

W.I.P.
Work in progress:
I am currently working on knitting a scarf, crocheting a hat, that blue rag bag needs a lining (and I have to start on a grey one for a special order) and that dark pink bag needs a closure. I just made that pink one last night on my new sewing machine! I just got it yesterday. :)
It's so nice to sew on a machine that doesn't make me wanna throw it across the room!

Yarn Vase
I save my yarn scraps, pieces of yarn too small to knit with but so long I don't like to throw them away. I've been saving them for a while not knowing what I would make with them, now I have the perfect thing. Yarn Vase!
What I used: yarn, glue, buttons, and one tall can.
I painted on a thin layer of glue as I wrapped the yarn around the can stringing on buttons here and there. I read double stick tape or a spray adhesive both work well too.
Need a full tutorial? There's a nice one on DesignSpongeOnline.com or try using a drinking glass for your vase like at AllYou.com

Better Gloves & Plastic Bags
This is my third pair of gloves, they came out much better. The second pair came out just as nice except one was a little shorter than the other, oops! But thats ok, I'll just keep those for myself, these pink ones are a gift for someone else. :)
I also knit some bags out of plastic bags, a coin purse wristlet with a zipper and a button toggle clutch purse.
And a coin purse wristlet with a zipper out of one whole garbage bag. I love it! :)
Check this out, my pumpkin garland was featured on Craftster! Featured Knitting Projects - December 2010 So Happy!!! :)
See ya later!
