Snow Day!

We got lots of snow and Coffee had a great time playing in it and eating it :)

I have lots of knitting to do today.  This is a scarf I'm knitting with tan acrylic yarn and a mohair yarn.  It's in seed stitch and I will add fringe at the ends when I'm done.

This is a shawl I've been working on for a while and still have a long way to go.  It's also in seed stitch with soft pink acrylic yarn.  I'm going to add tassels to the ends when I'm done.

That's all for now, see ya!

Plant Update

(Before)
Just a quick update on how my plants are doing.  I got these plants back in August and they have grown a bit.

The Jade plant has been giving me the most trouble, its leaves get soft if I don't water it correctly but I think I'm getting it on track now.

This one, I'm not sure what it's called, has grown much taller and is my favorite.  It's very easy to take care of.

I don't think the cactus grew at all, but it isn't dieing either soooo, yay? :p

I was thinking of decorating the pots, I'm not sure yet what I want to do but here is a cute idea!  Chalkboard Flower Pot from http://sewhipmama.wordpress.com/

Better Gloves & Plastic Bags

This is my third pair of gloves, they came out much better.  The second pair came out just as nice except one was a little shorter than the other, oops!  But thats ok, I'll just keep those for myself, these pink ones are a gift for someone else. :)

I also knit some bags out of plastic bags, a coin purse wristlet with a zipper and a button toggle clutch purse.

And a coin purse wristlet with a zipper out of one whole garbage bag.  I love it! :)

Check this out, my pumpkin garland was featured on Craftster! Featured Knitting Projects - December 2010  So Happy!!! :)

First Glove

I made my very first glove the other day. It came out better than I thought it would, but not as good as I had hoped. The thumb looks a little sloppy, there are a couple of little holes.  The top is a little too tight and the bottom is a little too loose. Trial and error.

I also made some cute little snails! I found the pattern at NaturalSuburbia.blogspot.com
But instead of adding a leaf to the bottom to make them stand I'm going to turn some into cute pins :)

They have some of the cutest patterns on that blog. There are also patterns for Autumn acorns and leaves, perfect for the Fall season, which I'm going to have to make a bunch of those as well :)

That's all for now,
