Oops

I apologize for having a plant post so close the last one, but there's been an accident. :(

The heavy blinds in the window fell down and landed on my plants!  The jade plant, the African violet and the hawthoria succulent (pic above).  The succulent got the worst of it.  The African violet only lost a leaf and the jade plant got a little bent but I fixed it with some string and it's already better.  I'm realy hoping the succulent pulls through.  It's feeling a little soft right now.

I also bought a new plant yesterday!  It's a Pink Polka Dot Plant.  It's so cute, I love it.
So far I read it needs a moderate amount of light, damp soil, and an occasional misting, but I'm still doing research on it.  Anyone have this plant?  Any tips? :)

See ya!

  2. Your new plant is very pretty. I've seen it before, but I won't try to give you any plant advice! I'm not a plant person...My hubby is...sorta. But you'd better get it from someone who REALLY knows about plants!...Sorry about the boo boos on the others. Hope they make it...I was in the nursing field, working with boo boos. But still....plants are not human. ^_^

  3. Don't you hate it when that happens. Hopefully the succulent survives.

  5. Oh dear! I knocked a dying cactus pot into the dish water the other day. Needless to say - he didn't make it and I had to do the dishes again...

  6. Poor plants!! My friend has pots on her windowsill, and made a little shelf from clear plexiglass so the shutters don't fall on them...this was after her little orchid was decapitated by the blinds. :(

  7. I also have a pink polka dot plant, my has been kind of hard to take care of. It almost died but I put it next to a window and keep watering it so it looks better now. I do like yours a lot, my looks long and stringy now with leaves only at the top. I wish I knew how to make it full like yours. I would love to hear how yours is doing now...
