This is my first crocheted hat! I wanted something "holey" but didn't have a pattern so I just winged it.
I used Lion Brand Homespun yarn and a size K hook. I ♥ LBH yarn. Have I mentioned this before? I think I have. :)
Very "holey" also nice and slouchy!
Most of the hat is in double crochet except for the rim which is just a few rows of single crochet.
See ya!

That looks a treat! Nice colour too. Which form of craft do you prefer - knitting or crochet? Young crafty daughter prefers the latter, but I find it involves too much concentration: I can knit and watch TV, whereas it's simply impossible when I crochet.
ReplyDeleteBesides, blogging is now taking up more of my time, and having just returned from a couple of unexpected stays with said crafty daughter, I'm now torn between watching the Olympics, blogging at www.ColdhamCuddliescalling.blogspot.com and/or creating more Cuddlies for sale at www.Etsy.com/coldham cuddlies. Oh...decisions, decisions.
You could start a new trend with that hat, by the way1
Thank you for commenting! I prefer knitting too actually, I've only recently learned the basics of crochet and this is one of the few things I've made so far.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to crochet and barely know how to knit, so I can admire someone who has the gifts for doing either...and especially to be able to do both!! Turned out great for 'winging it':)
ReplyDeleteThanks Cmz Art/Rustic Goth! It was hard to learn b/c I didn't have anyone to show me but once I learned the basic it just got easier and easier. :)
